Youth Group

"Real Friends. Real Faith. Really."

Pastor Paul McBee is our Youth Pastor. Along with a staff of volunteers, he has organized the youth activities to include a variety of events. Activities have included: trips to various State Parks, game nights, annual lock-in, youth weekend retreats, Indy zoo trips, annual ringing of the Salvation Army bell at Christmas, "Destination Unknown" events, attending concerts, and much, much more. The youth have also held a "Thank You" Banquet to show their appreciation to all in the church who assist the group in any way possible. Actually, it is an open invitation to all to attend as many help through their prayer and financial support.
Aside from these activities, Pastor Paul leads a "Teen Time" hour at the church every Wednesday evening. And, if that isn't enough, he also leads the youth Sunday School Class on Sunday mornings.
Some of the youth participate in the annual Children's Christmas Program, and some help lead the singing in the Morning Worship.
We are very proud of our young people, and they truly are the "future" of the church. However, they are also the "present" of the church, and have much to give to the Body Life of Southview.
There is always room for more, and we hope to continue to build leaders for the Lord as work with these precious people.

Youth Group is held during our midweek activites on Wednesday nights from 7-8 pm as well as a Sunday School class for our youth from 9:30-10:30 am. The Youth Group is open to everyone that is in 6th grade through high school.

The youth "Spring Retreat" was held April 20-22 at the Frankfort Campgrounds. 26 youth and 5 adults attended this event, with a good moving of God's Spirit upon the lives of the attenders.
